As you start to walk on the way, the way appears

“As you start to walk on the way, the way appears.” - Rumi

I’ve spent a lot of time feeling anxious about various new tasks and ventures, worrying about every little detail before ever taking a single step in the right direction.

This strategy has worked about 0% of the time I’ve done it, yet I can’t tell you how many times I’ve still tried to make it work.

The only way to alleviate my anxiety and gain full clarity on whatever it is I’m planning, is to just get started. When I do this, with a staggering 100% success rate, it’s as if Moses parts the Red Sea and the path I need to follow becomes clear.

This has held true since before I started my blog, writing online, before beginning new projects at work or at home, and with countless other roves I’ve embarked on.

For me, meticulous planning leads to elevated levels of anxiety. Instead, just getting started always reveals the critical actions that I need to be working on, and I feel much better in the thick of it than watching from the sidelines.

Dive right into something you’ve been trying to plan out for a while. Tell me whatever that is in a reply to this email below 👇
